Mohan Perera, the CEO of Transco International (Aust) Pty Ltd, the parent company of Transco Cargo, has over 39 years’ experience in the shipping and logistics industry. Starting off his career as a Management Trainee at Aitken Spence & Co, Sri Lanka’s leading conglomerate , he rose in ranks to the post of Vice President/COO. He was also the Country General Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives for the leading integrator, TNT Express Worldwide. Under his leadership, TNT Sri Lanka achieved the ISO certification in 1997, which was the first company within the industry in Sri Lanka and the second within the subcontinent region, to achieve ISO 9002 accreditation.
Under his leadership Aitkens Spence Cargo & TNT Sri Lanka have won many awards and accolades, of which the National Quality Award, which is based on the principals of the American Malcolm Baldridge Award, was an esteemed honour to receive.
In 2009, he moved to Melbourne and transferred his expertise and wealth of experience to found Transco International (Aust) Pty Ltd.
Having become a household name in Australia, Transco International and its subsidiary, Transco Cargo has grown and diversified substantially to be one of the leading freight forwarding companies in Australia.
